CHRIS BIAS

 

     Proudly born and raised in Boone County Mr. Chris Bias is a science teacher at MMS.  As a young man he attended Jeffrey-Spencer Elementary School, Madison Middle School before entering Scott High School and becoming an academic and athletic leader.  Mr. Bias graduated from Scott High School in 1992.  While at Scott Mr. Bias was excelled in athletics and other school activities.  After public schools Mr. Bias attened WVU where he received a BA in Biology in 1996.  In 2001 he received a masters in Education from Marshall University.

     Mr. Bias began his teaching career in 1998 at Madison Middle School.   He has also taught at Scott High, Sherman High and Van Jr./Sr. High Schools.   Before starting his teaching career he worked underground in the coal mines for a couple of years.   Mr. Bias is a member of the WV Education Association, National Science Teachers Association and the Madison United Methodist Church.

     In 1997 Mr. Bias married his high school sweetheart, Paula and they have three wonderful and amazing children: Olivia, Lilly and Gavin.  Together Mr. Bias and Paula have lead the middle school youth group "Pathfinders" at Madison Methodist Church since 1997.  His hobbies include spending time with family, travelling, WVU sports, new cool gadgets, reading, music and boating.
