VICKI COTTRELL

     Mrs. Cottrell graduated from Sherman High School in 1972 and WV State College in 1992 with a BS in Education with a specialization in secondary science. During those missing years she married and had three children which are now, she is happy to say, on their own with happy, enriched life’s giving her three lovely granddaughters to spoiled.
     Mrs. Cottrell chose to stay in Boone County to teach. She started at Scott High School teaching home economics. The year Lory-Jullian Grade School received the “Blue Ribbon” award she taught physical education. After three years at Sherman High School teaching Consumer Science, she came to Madison Middle and has been a member of the Science Department for fourteen years. Every year is different, because the students are different.
     Mrs. Cottrell was Boone County Teacher of the Year for 2005 and District Nine VFW Teacher of the Year for 2006.
