DEBRA HARLESS

     Mrs. Debra Harless graduated from Scott High School in 1975.  She later recieved her B.A. Degree in Elementary and Special Education from West Virginia State College in 1986.  She holds a Masters from Marshall University in 2000.  She also holds a degree in Floral Design from the Cleveland Design School.Mrs. Harless teaches reading at Madison Middle School and is also the Student Council sponsor.  She is very active in most school activities and loves working with students in all aspects of their education.

     Mrs. Harless started her teaching career in 1986 at the now closed Danville Elementary school before coming to Madison Middle School in 1988.  She was selected as Boone County Teacher of the Year in 1996 and received the Ashland Golden Apple Award in 1997.

     Mrs. Harless resides in Madison with her husband, Terry.  They have one son, Christopher who is a student at WVU Tech and a dog named Hunter.
