GENE MILLS
Mr. Gene Mills is a 1999 graduate of Massaponax High School located in Spotsylvania, VA. After high school he attended West Virginia University and Fairmont State and graduated in 2006 with a BA in Music Education. He started his full time teaching career upon coming to Madison Middle and Scott High School in January, 2007 as Director of Bands. He also has worked as an instructor with the Fairmont Senior High School Band from 2003-2007.
His hobbies include performing with the Charleston Light Opera Guild which to date he has been involved with "Grease", "Curtains" and "Gypsy". He also performed with the Charleston Neophonic Orchestra. Mr. Mills resides in Madison and has two solid white cats, Yang and Cotton. His favorite quote is "Excellence can be attained if you....CARE more than others this is wise....RISK more than others think is safe...DREAM more than others think is practical...EXPECT more than others think is possible."
