DON MINNEY

 

     Mr. Don Minney graduated from Braxton County High School.  He continued his education at Glenville State College where he earned a B.A. in Social Sciences Comp. 5-12 and Mathematics 5-12 in 1985.  He also worked for Mental Health from 1988 until 1990.  Mr. Minney started his teaching career in 1985 in Nicholas County and also taught in Raleigh County from 1990 until 2005.  He came to Madison Middle School starting the 2005-2006 school year.

     He is a member of the American Federation of Teachers, WV Education Association and Project MERIT.  He was Teacher of the Year finalist in Raleigh County in 1996-97 and Systems Trainer of the Year 200-02 for secondary education.

    Mr. MInney's hobbies include golf, bowling, boating, camping and travel.  He enjoys spending time with his seven grandchildren.  His favorite quote is "It doesn't matter if you are a gazelle or a lion in Africa, when the sun comes up you better be running."
