KIM MITCHELL
Mrs. Kim Mitchell graduated from Scott High School in Madison, WV, class of 1978. She continued her
education at WV State University where she earned a B.A. Degree in History and a B.S. in Secondary Education.
Ms. Mitchell started her teaching career in 2001 as a Social Studies and Science teacher at Madison
Middle School. She is a Student Council Sponsor at Madison Middle and is in charge of the
Drama program's Dinner Theater each year. She is a member of the WV Education Association.
Her hobbies include reading, cross-stitch, theatre, watching football and basketball. Her favorite
quote is by Reese Witherspoon at the Oscars "I'm just trying to matter." Mrs. Mitchell says quotes,
"That sums it up for me, I also am just trying to matter." Her community activities include
directing the Children's and Junior High Choirs at church, leader of the Junior Goup and she sponsors
the Madison Grade School cheerleaders.
