MARY JEWELL COX

     Mrs. Mary Jewell Cox is a 1974 graduate of Scott High School.  After high school attended Salem College and graduted in 1978 with a AB degree in Music Education.  She became the band director at Madison Middle School and remained in that position for a number of years before taking over the general music position at the school.   In 2006 Mrs. Cox became the director of bands at Scott High School for two years before coming back to teach general music at MMS. 

     Mrs. Cox is married to Doug Cox who is the principal at Scott High School.  They have three children: Jamie who is married to Manolo Strange and they live in Washington, D.C., Jill, married to Matt Baker living in Corpus Christi, TX and Charlie who will graduate from Scott High School in 2010.
