ANN WARD

    Mrs. Ann Ward is a 1986 graduate of George Washington High School.  She received a BSBA in Accounting from WVU in 1990.  In 1996 she recieved a MA in elementary Education in 1996.  In 2000 Mrs. Ward earned National Board Certification in Early Adolescence Math.  She renewed her National Board Certification in 2010.  She worked as a bank auditor for 3 years and has also worked as a professional river guide since 1991.  She has taught 7th grade math for 14 years but was recently "promoted" to 8th grade.  She has taught in Davidson, NC, Concord, NC, Charleston, WV and what she calls "The Best" -  Madison Middle School!

      She has one child - Diana.  In her free time Mrs. Ward likes running and white water rafthing.  She is training for another marathon.  She has to stay in shape to keep up with her little one!  Her favorite quotes are "You get out of it what you put into it." And, "The best exercise for strengthening the human heart is reaching down and lifting people up."
